Family Centre Update
Hi! I’m Kelly Beckingham, Glenwood Family Centre’s new Coordinator. I thought I should share a little bit about me and what drew me to this role.
As an Early Childhood Educator level III most of my career has been dedicated to caring for and guiding our youngest learners on the beginning of their paths of education. I have served in a variety of roles including Room Supervisor in Large Centre Childcare, Licensed Home Childcare Provider, Pre-school Director and most recently an Educational Assistant in Early and Middle years classrooms.
I am thrilled to join the Family Centre team and look forward to the many joys this new chapter is sure to provide!

Glenwood Family Centre provides FREE programs for children 0-5 years of age. We offer fun and age-appropriate activities for you and your young ones to enhance their development, foster close familial bonds, and connect with other families and the community! Join the fun and have a healthy snack with us!
Through play-based learning, our program targets:
- Early literacy and numeracy
- Language development
- Nutrition and healthy living habits
- Physical skills
- Social-emotional skills
We celebrate and support our diverse community! Our programs are planned thoughtfully for our families. We also have a resource and a donation centre to help meet our families' needs and connect with outside support.

School Readiness Program:
Glenwood School Family Centre offers a play-based program that provides opportunities for your little learner to practice many of the skills they will use in Kindergarten. This drop off program is a great way to encourage independence and socialization while becoming familiar with the routine and environment they will be part of in the fall.
If your child was born in 2019 and will attend Glenwood school in September then they are eligible to register. Registration forms available at the school or can be found below. Please return no later than Friday, April 5th.
