The Honourable Nello Altomare, Minister of Education, has proclaimed February 2024, as Manitoba Inclusive Education Month.  

“Our collective efforts to foster shared beliefs, mindsets, and practices are necessary to support consistent, effective, and widespread implementation of the Philosophy of Inclusion so that all children are prepared to succeed, to reach their full potential, and to live The Good Life,” said Minister Altomare. 

In the Louis Riel School Division, creating a culture of equity and inclusion, as outlined in our Multi-Year Strategic Plan, is central in our work to build and nurture a sense of community and ownership for students, staff, and parents/guardians.
