Organizational Chart: Supporting Student Learning

The Louis Riel School Division organizational chart is intentionally designed without a top or bottom.

At the centre of the chart are students, surrounded by the schools, teams, and services that support their learning, wellbeing, and success. Roles are organized by function and relationship to schools, not by rank or hierarchy.

The circular layout reflects the understanding that supporting students is collective work. Leadership, instructional support, student services, operational services, and community services are positioned around students to show how they work together—often across traditional boundaries—in service of students and families. While formal reporting relationships exist, the chart emphasizes shared responsibility, collaboration, and support, rather than a simple chain of command.

Governance, external authorities, and community partners, such as the Board of Trustees, provincial government, unions, parent councils, community partners are shown alongside the system. This placement reflects accountability and connection, not positional authority over the daily life of schools.

This chart is best read as a system of relationships, with all parts connected and working toward a common purpose: supporting student learning and well becoming.
