Jules Lavallee, who joined LRSD as an Elder in 2016 and passed on June 11, 2021, dedicated his life to sharing Indigenous knowledge, culture, and teachings with students and staff. The bursary established in his memory recognizes a graduating Indigenous student who has developed, shared, or applied their gifts in ways that support their goals and strengthen connections to self, family, and community.

Jules’ legacy continues through this award, and your role in nominating deserving students is essential in honouring his impact.
