Tuesday, March 19^th is early dismissal.  Classes end at 2:10 p.m.

Extra set of clothes

Our field is extremely wet.   We ask parents to please pack an extra set of clothes (or two) in your child’s backpack, along with rubber boots.  With the wet weather, many children are in need of dry clothes throughout the day.  Packing an extra set of clothes will minimize the interruptions for parents and teachers.

Accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2024-2025 school year

We are now accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2024-2025 school year.  Please click on the following link to register online https://www.lrsd.net/page/1372/school-registration.   If you have any questions, please call us at 204-254-0120.

Bike Bus

A bike bus is an active transportation activity that takes a group of children to school in the same way a regular school bus does, except everyone is on bikes. The “bus driver” (an adult on a bike) guides a slow-moving group along a predefined route. Kids and their parents join the group on their own bikes when the pack rolls by.

Our Bike Bus will run on the second last Friday of May (May 24^th) and the second last Friday of June (June 21^st)

We are sending out this initial message to share more information about the idea and gauge the level of interest and involvement from our school community. Please see the attached document for more detailed information and how the program works. 

PAC meeting

The monthly PAC meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at 7pm in person at the school in the library.

Parent Conferences

This round of parent teacher conferences (Thursday, March 21st from 3:30pm-7:30pm) is student-led and is meant to provide a time for students to show their parents/guardians their work in the classroom. For each block of time, there will be other families in the class as well. Teachers will be there to answer questions and to help guide students as they show their work to you.   If you have specific and individual questions or concerns you would like to discuss with the teacher in a one-on-one meeting, please make arrangements with the teacher to have that conversation at a different time.   Conference Manager will open on Saturday, March 16th at 8am and will be open until 6am on Thursday, March 21st.  When booking your conference time, please remember that there’s no supervision between the dismissal bell and the start of the conferences.

2023 Lunch tax receipts

September to December 2023 lunch tax receipts ($36.00) are now available in the parent portal (under student portfolio) for those who have paid their fees.  Accessing the tax receipts is done the same way as accessing your child’s report card.
