Good afternoon!

Welcome to our last week before Spring Break and a busy week it will be.  Report Cards will be available on the portal today and Portfolio Conferences take place tomorrow. Please be sure to book an appointment using Conference Manager, and don’t hesitate to call the school if you require any assistance.

This week is also our Spirit Week. Please see the monthly calendar for the list of daily themes and activities.

Have a wonderful week and a safe and enjoyable Spring Break.

Fun Lunch, Canteen and  ‘We Cook Wednesdays’!!

Hot Dog Day takes place on March 22nd!!

Our ‘We Cook Wednesdays’ will continue until at least Spring Break. As always, thanks to all Leadership Students and Staff involved.  Once again, on Mondays, students need to bring $2 to their teacher to be included each week (don’t panic – if you forget - please send it on Tuesday! šŸ˜Š).  The Monthly Schedule is as follows:

  • Wednesday, March 20th – Grilled Cheese

Remember the above items are all that is included on Wednesdays, so please continue to send the usual snacks and additional lunch items as your child requires.

Please note - The Nordale canteen is NOT a Hot Lunch Program, nor is it intended to replace regular lunches from home. Our canteen offers additional items for students to add to their lunches as occasional treats.  We monitor how much students are spending and limit the amount of items they can buy daily.

Attendance

Please help us out by calling or leaving a message with the Office if your child is going to be away.  Our safety plan includes timely calls to our parents/guardians if a child has an unexplained absence. Help limit the daily calls by letting us know when your child will be missing school.  We appreciate your partnership and support.

As well, once again we are right in the midst of flu and cold season. We ask that you monitor whether your child is well enough to be at school. Let’s help keep Star Nation as safe and healthy as we possibly can!
