Mark your calendar for April 22 and join us for two powerful concerts at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in Desautels Hall at the University of Manitoba.
Students in LRSD’s Junior Band (grades 8–9) and Senior Band (grades 10–12) will perform in our third Band Celebration. This event brings people together through music while supporting an important cause.
We’re also excited to welcome Dr. Jacquie Dawson from the University of Manitoba. She will conduct the Senior Honour Band as a special guest. Both bands will come together to perform Song of Hope by Winnipeg composer Peter Meechan. He wrote the piece as a tribute to those affected by cancer.
Tickets cost $5 each, and all proceeds will support CancerCare Manitoba. Since space is limited, we recommend buying your tickets in advance. Exact cash, debit, and credit payment will be accepted at the door.
