Kelsey Lenaghan Recognized as Manitoba's Indigenous Educator of the Month

Louis Riel School Division is proud to celebrate Kelsey Lenaghan, who has been recognized as the Indigenous Educator of the Month for April 2026. The honour is awarded by Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning through the province’s Indigenous Excellence in Education Initiative.

The Indigenous Educator of the Month recognition honours First Nations, Métis, and Inuit educators who demonstrate a strong commitment to Indigenous student success and who contribute meaningfully to education through leadership, relationship-building, and culturally responsive practice. This provincial recognition highlights the important role Indigenous educators play in strengthening learning environments and advancing reconciliation in Manitoba schools. 

LRSD congratulates Kelsey on this well-deserved recognition and appreciates the important contributions she makes to students, families, and colleagues throughout our division.
