You may notice more red poppies appearing in our schools as Remembrance Day approaches on November 11. Each one is a small reminder of the people who have served and sacrificed.

Poppies from the Winnipeg South Osborne Legion are available at select LRSD schools for students, staff, and families. If you are able, consider leaving a donation to the Poppy Campaign when picking up your poppy to help support Canada’s Veterans and their families.

The following LRSD schools will offer poppies from the Winnipeg South Osborne Legion:

• Dakota Collegiate
• Victor Mager School
• École Marie-Anne-Gaboury
• Hastings School
• St. George School
• Glenwood School
• École Varennes
• Glenlawn Collegiate
• Windsor School

A small poppy, worn close to the heart, carries a story of remembrance.
