On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Shauna Keyes as Vice-Principal of Samuel Burland School. effective Aug. 1, 2026. The Board of Trustees confirmed her appointment at the Jan. 13, 2026, Regular Board Meeting.
Shauna joined the Louis Riel School Division in 2007 as a Student Services Teacher at Dakota Collegiate Institute, following several years working in Calgary, Alberta. In 2010, she moved to Windsor Park Collegiate, where she has spent the past 16 years as a dedicated member of the school community.
Throughout her career, Shauna has demonstrated strong, people-centred leadership that will serve her well in her new role as Vice-Principal. Her experience in Student Services, along with her roles as a Designate Teacher, Team Leader, and Educational Assistant supervisor, has allowed her to develop a well-rounded leadership skill set. This experience is grounded in collaboration, effective problem-solving, and strong relationship building. Above all, Shauna promotes a culture of respect and dignity for all, fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments—qualities that will be a significant asset to her school community as Vice-Principal.
