As you may know, there are looming overpopulation issues at ÉSCS for upcoming years. For several years, the LRSD School Board and it's Senior Admin have been working hard to ensure that government understands our needs and works towards answering those needs. Our school division has been requesting, for several years, that the government approve the construction of a second elementary school in Sage Creek however no announcements have been made at this time. Recently I, along with Sandra our PAC president, met with Assistant Superintendent Christian Michalik to discuss this issue. He shared that the LRSD's Senior Admin continues to advocate to government to assist with our future and immediate needs and that time is of the essence. Because it is very important that all current and future ESCS parents, as well as all Sage Creek residents, receive accurate information, we invited Mr. Michalik to participate in an information evening. We are therefore inviting you to attend an information evening being held on Thursday, January 25th at 6:30 pm in our gymnasium at which time Mr. Michalik will share information related to:
- the current situation,
- enrollment projections,
- potential solutions,
- what parents could do to assist.
To help us better prepare for this evening, please click here to RSVP before January 19th.
We look forward to seeing you on January 25th!
