Mme Boudreau and Mme Mangin's Grade 3/4 students enjoyed prioritizing self-care and caring for others for Bell Let's Talk Day! Students spent time taking care of their minds, their hearts and their bodies by discussing feelings of sadness, anxiety, frustration, and anger. They came up with ways to manage these emotions and then put their ideas into practice. Students tried guided meditation, they went for a walk to get fresh air and exercise, they listened to soothing music, they journaled, they practiced deep breathing and they relaxed outside while enjoying the winter weather. Each class also took the time to discuss kindness. Students listened to stories about kindness, wrote about kindness and they created a list of 5 things that they love about themselves.
