JH Bruns has entered two teams in the international CyberPatriot cybersecurity competition. This year, students will be competing remotely from their homes. Good luck, cyberdefenders!
The first round starts this weekend (Nov. 12 - 16). Round 1 consists of securing Windows 10, Linux Ubuntu 18, and Windows Server 2019 virtual images, as well as a Cisco networking challenge. The competition round lasts for 6 hours, during which students work together to complete the challenges. Remote competition will make this a bit more challenging, but Bruns students are up to the task.
"It's tough to find extracurricular activities that students can do safely," said team coach Mr. Fershau. "I was so happy that Cyberpatriot had a plan to run remotely, and that students were willing to take up the challenge."
