Glenlawn Collegiate has been operating a snack and lunch program over the last two years. The program has evolved from a "grab and go" snack program to being able to offer healthy and nutritious snacks to students in need any time of day with the recent addition of a community kitchen. Students enrolled in the SFP program took part in a breakfast club on Friday mornings which led to some great conversations between students around mental health.
We would like to take this time to recognize the various donors who made all of this possible. A big thank you goes out to the Child Nutrition Council of Manitoba, Louis Riel School Division, and a donation made In Memory of Bob Couchman.
On any given day approximately 60 students will access a healthy snack or lunch. The program is open to all students and offers food in a judgement free environment.
