GENERAL VANIER SUPPLY LIST FOR 2018-2019

General Vanier School, as per Louis Riel School Division protocols, will be purchasing student school supplies for the 2018-2019 school year. The standard fee for all grades is $40.00 per student. An advantage to this process is that all children have access to the same materials which creates an atmosphere of sharing. Listed below are additional supplies you will be required to purchase for your child.

Kindergarten

1 Pair indoor Running shoes – preferably non-marking white soled with Velcro fasteners – NO Laces (unless your child can tie independently)

 

(to be left at school)

 

 

1 backpack – sturdy/durable/large

1 snack bag

10 large Ziploc bags

1 box Kleenex

1 set of sturdy headphones (labelled)

1 blue "Lays" chip container with yellow lid (clean with label off please). This will be used instead of an agenda book

Grade 1 & Grade 2

Non-marking running shoes (labeled) to be left at school

 

 

 

One large backpack (labeled)

Two large boxes of facial tissue

One box of large Ziploc bags - Gr. 1

One box of X-Large Ziploc bags - Gr. 2

One set of headphones (labeled)

Grade 2 & Grade 3

Non-marking running shoes (labeled) to be left at school

 

For Gr. 3 Students only: Aulos or Yamaha Soprano Recorder. Please use former sibling's recorders if applicable. Yamaha Recorders are also available for purchase through the school for $6.00.

One large backpack (labeled)

Two large boxes of facial tissue

One box of large Ziploc bags - Gr. 2

One box of X-Large Ziploc bags - Gr. 3

One set of headphones (labeled)

Grade 3 & Grade 4

Non-marking running shoes, shorts, t-shirt, and cloth bag with child's name labelled on bag for clothes.

 

For Gr. 3 & New Gr. 4 Students to General Vanier: Aulos or Yamaha Soprano Recorder. Please use former sibling's recorders if applicable. Yamaha Recorders are also available for purchase through the school for $6.00.

Returning Gr. 4 Students at General Vanier will continue to use recorder and supplies from the previous year.

Grade 5 & Grade 6

For New Gr. 5 Students to General Vanier: Aulos or Yamaha Soprano Recorder. Please use former sibling's recorders if applicable. Yamaha Recorders are also available for purchase through the school for $6.00. Returning Gr. 5 Students at General Vanier will continue to use recorder and supplies from the previous year. For Gr. 6 Students supplies and fees will be as per your Band/Guitar Selection

Grade 7 & Grade 8

One duo tang for portfolios

 

Band - $40 - Band supplies are specific to the instrument. Students continuing in the Band Program need to check what supplies they currently have before purchasing additional items.

Guitar - $40 - Guitar fees are used to repair the guitars and to replace strings.

Two 1.5" binders (D ring preferred)

One pack of playing cards

One 2 GB USB stick for computers (labeled)

One set of headphones (labeled)
