Nutrition Practices

In 2007, Manitoba Education published the Manitoba School Nutrition Handbook designed to help school communities develop nutrition policies and implement changes to promote healthy eating. In accordance with this directive, the Louis Riel School Division developed Administrative Policy EFA – Nutrition in Schools, to manage all practices related to nutritional education, and to the distribution of food during school hours and school-related events. The document below details current practices at École Guyot related to nutrition, practices that have evolved in light of the provincial and divisional directives referenced above and a result of ongoing dialogue between staff, parents, and students.
