Graduation Information

Dakota Collegiate invites you and your family to celebrate the Class of 2020!

Convocation Ceremonies will be taking place June 25th, 26th, and 29that Dakota Collegiate Gymnasium.


Graduate Groupings

  • Each ceremony will consist of 5 Graduates who can each invite up to 3 Guests
  • Registration will open on June 10th, close June 15th and will be on a first come, first served basis
  • Graduates can choose their convocation date and time to be with their friends. This will require Graduates to plan ahead to ensure registrations are booked in the same time slot

 Convocation Ceremony Day 1---June 25th

 Convocation Ceremony Day 2---June 26th

 Convocation Ceremony Day 3---June 29th

 Arrival

  • Graduates are to arrive 15 minutes before their Convocation Ceremony
  • If Graduates and Guests arrive early, they must stay in their vehicle until 15 minutes before their Convocation Ceremony to avoid line-ups
  • Guests and Graduates will then enter the school through the gym foyer doors where they will be greeted by Teachers
  • Graduates will then be directed into the small gym to receive their cap and gown
  • Guests will be directed into the big gym to await the Convocation Ceremony

 

Ceremony

  • Each Convocation Ceremony will be approximately 20 minutes
  • Students will receive their diploma and any scholarship awards earned
  • Parents will have an opportunity to take pictures throughout the ceremony

 

Pictures

  • Following the Convocation Ceremony each group will be directed to either the Theatre or the Library for an opportunity to mingle and take pictures for 30 minutes
  • The Graduates will then transition to Murray Field for 20 minutes


Departure

  • After 20 minutes Graduates will return grad gowns at the designated area
  • Once the gowns have been returned students must leave the school property

 

Additional Information

  • Due to Public Health Orders, only a limited number of individuals are allowed on the field or in a room at one time 
  • It is important that everyone follows the outlined schedule to ensure that all Graduates have the same opportunity and to safeguard the well-being of all those that attend.
