General Registration Information

Course Info for Prospective Grade 9 Students

In February, registration documents will be sent home to all students who attend our catchment schools:

The documents below detail registration timelines and the process that we follow. Also included is the Grade 9 Course Selection document that will need to be filled out by parents/guardians from our feeder schools.

Note: Students who are new to the area will need to contact the office to arrange an intake meeting with the administrative staff.

Grade 9 Compulsory Courses

The following five courses indicate the compulsory courses for Grade 9 students entering Dakota Collegiate: English 10F, Math 10F, Social Studies 10F, Science 10F and Physical Education 10F. More information and descriptions are available in our online course handbook.

Grade 9 Elective Courses

The remaining three courses that complement the compulsory courses are electives. Students are asked to choose three plus an alternate and rank the choices. A full elective list is available here.
