Financial Literacy Month 2023
Minister of Education Nello Altomare has declared November as Financial Literacy Month to support students, teachers, and schools in continuing awareness of financial literacy throughout Kindergarten to Grade 12.
“Financial literacy prepares our young people to become resilient, confident citizens in our current and future economy,” said Honorable Nello Altomare.
Financial literacy is an essential life skill that empowers individuals to make informed decisions throughout their lives. The knowledge of personal finance is essential for developing confident and responsible youth who can understand the costs, benefits, and implications of personal and local financial and economic issues.
Teachers play a vital role in shaping the financial literacy of students. By providing rich learning experiences, teachers contribute to equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the financial landscape effectively.
