The LRSD Community Kitchen is a hands-on, full-service commissary and community kitchen that provides meals for students in Louis Riel School Division and the surrounding community. The program supports people experiencing food insecurity while creating opportunities to build life and workplace skills.

Kitchen Volunteer Roles
Schedules can shift based on meal production and distribution needs.
Fresh Food Box
Every other Tuesday, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
- Prepare produce bins and support fridge storage
- Build up to 52 boxes
- Break down and recycle boxes
Food Depot
Thursdays, 10:45 AM – 12:15 PM
- Set up distribution area and organize food
- Support line flow and replenishment
- Clean and reset space after distribution
Welcome Area
Suggested time: 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM
- Maintain serving and coffee area
- Support dishwashing and tidying
- Help create a welcoming environment
Clothing Closet
Flexible / assigned
- Sort and check donated clothing
- Organize bins and racks
- Restore and clean volunteer area
