ASPIRE Program

ASPIRE (Academic Summer Program Including Recreation and Education) is an equity based program designed to help students continue to grow as learners throughout the summer.

 ASPIRE makes learning fun by offering participants a day camp experience full of various educational games and hands on learning. A high energy team of Instructors, who are enrolled in the Faculty of Education, lead participants in activities designed to build skills in math, reading, writing, problem solving and social experiences.

 For the summer of 2025, approximately 377 students in grades 1-6 from select schools in LRSD participated in ASPIRE for 4 weeks of summer learning and fun! 

This year’s participating schools included Frontenac, Archwood, Marion, General Vanier, Lavallee, Darwin, Minnetonka, DW Penner, Victor Wyatt, Victor Mager, Hastings, Glenwood, St. George, Julie-Riel, Varennes, St. Germain, Henri-Bergeron, Provencher, Howden. 

There is no cost to families to participate in the program.
