Chipalo was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2022. During his time as a trustee, he brought a strong commitment to community, inclusion, and ensuring students have access to high-quality educational opportunities.
Chipalo also brought an exceptional understanding of the role of a school trustee and the importance of effective governance. His approach was thoughtful, policy-driven, and grounded in the integrity of good process.
A longtime resident of the LRSD community and a parent, Chipalo cared deeply about the people around him, and it showed in how he listened, spoke up, and advocated for them around the board table.
