  • School Supplies

    Dear Parent/Guardian:

The Louis Riel School Division recognizes that shopping for school supplies can become very expensive and time consuming for families.  As a result, the Division is introducing a Standardized School Supplies program effective with the 2015/2016 school year for grades K-8 students.

What this means is that all basic school supplies will be provided by the school, and parents will no longer be required to purchase them.  Parents can be assured that the supplies are of high quality, meet the specifications of the classroom teacher, and respect sustainable procurement practices.

The only items parents need to provide are indoor shoes, runners for physical education class, a gym bag and change of clothes (only grades 3 to 6) and a box of Kleenex.

The school supply fee will be $40.00 and will collected at the beginning of the school year.

In addition, school fees (which pay for classroom consumables etc. and agendas for grades 2 to 6) are as follows: $20.00 for Kindergarten; $40.00 for grades one to six.

Please call if you have any questions.

    Sincerely,

    Richard Rajotte
