Positive Cases of COVID-19 in LRSD 2021-2022
Based on the government’s update to case management and contact tracing in schools announced on Thursday, Jan. 13, this page will no longer be updated. We have developed dashboards that allow the public to view self-reported student absences and are developing dashboards related to staff absences. The dashboards will refresh every school day at 4:30 p.m. Click here to view the dashboards.
The Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) works closely with Manitoba Public Health to assist in contact tracing and provide timely notification about specific COVID-19 exposures related to our schools.
If an individual notifies LRSD that they are COVID-19 positive or are awaiting test results and there is a concern that the individual was in the school while infectious, the division contacts public health to collaborate and expedite the process of contact tracing and community notification.
This page includes details on positive cases in LRSD throughout the 2021-2022 school year. The data will be updated as specific COVID-19 cases in relation to our schools are communicated by Public Health.
When an individual who has been identified by Public Health as a confirmed positive COVID-19 case has been in more than one school, the positive case will be attributed to the individual's home school. This ensures the accuracy of our total number of confirmed cases.

There have been some instances when Public Health has notified the division of an individual in a school community who has tested positive for COVID-19 and no community notification was required. This was because the individual was not in the school during the infectious period. Any of these cases are reflected in the table below.
