  • Who We Are

Nordale School is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 English language school located in the heart of the Norwood Flats area of St. Boniface, between St. Mary’s Road and Lyndale Drive in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Classroom teachers instruct all core subjects. The K to 6 students take part in a general music program focusing on movement, percussion and creativity, while students in Grades 7 and 8 take band. The school is also home to the Middle Years academic program for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Professional Division.

The school was built in 1949, and has a current enrolment of 179 students and 28 teachers. The staff includes a principal, two student services staff, half-time reading recovery teacher and seven paraprofessionals. The paraprofessionals work collaboratively with the classroom teachers to support the educational and developmental needs of the students. Two school secretaries work in the school office, and a day custodian and a evening custodian maintain the school and the grounds.

    Home of the Stars

Our mission is to promote academic and personal growth in a safe environment, fostering a commitment to learning, teamwork, and respect for oneself and others.

Through their involvement in school activities, students will develop responsibility for their studies and their behaviour; learn to set realistic goals for themselves; develop an awareness of their talents and strengths; learn skills in subject areas, develop organization and communication skills; and learn courtesy and respect for each other.

At Nordale School, our purpose is to ensure success for all learners. It is a place that is safe, where we act responsibly and respectfully, and cooperate with each other.
