We would like to offer a warm welcome to Frank Deer who will be joining LRSD as our Scholar in Residence!
Frank Deer is an Associate Professor and Executive Lead for Indigenous Achievement at the University of Manitoba. Holding a PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Saskatchewan, Frank is a published scholar in the area of Indigenous education. Frank has been awarded funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada for his work in the area of ancestral languages. Frank has previously served as a classroom teacher in Northern Manitoba and in the Inner City of Winnipeg.
We're looking forward to working and learning with Frank as we continue to expand our Indigenous Education programming.
