The Learning from Home School (LFHS)/L'École Apprendre-chez-soi is a robust and fully staffed school with programming in both English and French Immersion. The school currently supports 707 students in kindergarten to Grade 12 who are required to learn from home due to a medical condition. It also serves other students whose parents/guardians elected a learning from home option on Dec. 1, 2020.
In March, parents/guardians with students in the LFHS were sent an invitation to participate in a ThoughtExchange that asked the questions: How would you describe your child's experience in the LFHS? What were the highlights? What challenges were experienced?
More than 120 people participated in the ThoughtExchange. Many of the top thoughts conveyed messages of gratitude toward the teachers and staff at the LFHS:
