Since March, the Louis Riel School Division's (LRSD) Senior Leadership Team (SLT) has had focused meetings with communities in the Windsor Park Collegiate (WPC), Collège Béliveau (CB) and J.H. Bruns (JHB) Families of Schools (FOS) about the SLT's proposed solutions to address enrolment pressures and demographic changes in in English and French Immersion programs in grades K-12 in the Southeast Quadrant of LRSD. These recent meetings build on conversations we have been having since 2015. As you may already know, the SLT has presented information to staff and families in these communities.
Here is a summary of that information.
As the proposed changes would occur in the 2024-2025 school year, staff at WPC and CB met with students in Grades 7 to 9 and staff at JHB met with students in Grade 9 this afternoon to present the following information:
WPC Student Presentation:
CB Student Presentation:
JHB Student Presentation:
During each of the meetings, students were encouraged to share their thoughts and questions through a Forms survey at the end of the presentation.
Today's meeting with students is the first of many related to the proposed solutions as our hope is to collaboratively co-create the future of each of the schools alongside students, staff, and families.
