The Kindergarten class at Darwin School is participating in the Ojibway Language Exposure Program this school year. Twice per cycle, an itinerant instructor with Louis Riel School Division visits our classroom and brings activities, songs, games and crafts that introduce Ojibway vocabulary in a fun way! The students enjoy the lessons immensely and are proud to learn and practice new Ojibway words. It has been incredible to see the speed the children are learning new vocabulary, as well as their confidence to try something new. This is one example of how our youngest learners at Darwin School are guided along the path towards reconciliation.
