LRSD Schools Performing for Music Month in Manitoba

We are excited to announce that schools in LRSD will be participating in two events for Music Month in Manitoba this May!

LRSD will be hosting Music Monday at the Forks on Monday, May 7. The concert marks the kick-off for Music Month in Manitoba, as declared by the Minister of Education.

Nelson McIntyre Collegiate, Archwood, Marion, Nordale and Shamrock Schools will all perform under the canopy outside the Forks Market. The concert is open to the public and we invite all LRSD families to come out and attend the day of music!

LRSD students will also be performing on Wednesday, May 23 at the Manitoba Legislative Building as part of the Music Month concert series. École Marie-Anne-Gaboury, École George-McDowell and Collège Jeanne-Sauvé students will perform on the Legislative Building's grand staircase!

Music education helps build a sense of community within a school, creating connections in the wider community through sharing art. LRSD is proud to be a part of this concert series, sharing the gift of music with Manitobans. Learn more about the upcoming events below:
