LRSD Signs Winnipeg's Indigenous Accord

Indigenous Accord.jpg

On June 20, 2017, LRSD School Board Chair Chris Sigurdson signed Winnipeg's Indigenous Accord on behalf of the Louis Riel School Division.

From hosting graduation pow wow's to student-led educational conferences, Indigenous Education has become a central part of our curriculum in LRSD. We recognize that reconciliation is about acknowledging our heritage while paving new paths for the future of students in our Division, city and country.

Winnipeg's Indigenous Accord is a living document to guide our shared commitment to the Journey of Reconciliation in our city. We are proud to stand in support of the Accord as we actively work towards reconciliation every day in our Division.

We look forward to working alongside our partners across the city to help educate and engage in reconciliation.
