LRSD's 2018 Graduation Powwow is coming up on May 23!

LRSD is excited to announce our third annual Graduation Powwow will be taking place on May 23, 2018 at Dakota Collegiate. Weather permitting, the powwow will be hosted outside on Murray Field, marking the first outdoor graduation powwow in the Division!

The powwow is an exciting celebration held in honour of LRSD graduates from across the Division. We invite the LRSD community to join us for an evening of dance, food and culture while celebrating the achievements of our graduating students.

The evening will be emceed by Indigenous performer and musician Coco Ray Stevenson, with the Walking Wolf Singers acting as the host drum. Students from our LRSD powwow club will perform throughout the evening, while a traditional feast will be prepared by the Louis Riel Arts and Technology Centre (ATC) Culinary Arts students.

If you have any questions, or if you're a drum group or performer looking to participate, please contact Corey Kapilik at (204) 594-3551.
