LRSD would like to congratulate returning Trustees Chris Sigurdson, Louise Johnston, Josie Landry, Sandy Nemeth, Cindy Turner, Tom Parker and Robert Page. LRSD would also like to welcome fresh—but not new—faces to the Board Office, including Pamela Kolochuk and Neil Vadeboncoeur.
Pamela Kolochuk has previous experience working with LRSD on Preschool and Parent Advisory Boards. She is also a CGA, CPA, MBA and Certified Change Leader with over ten years of experience in Senior Financial Leadership roles. Neil Vadeboncoeur previously served as a Trustee on the former St. Vital School Board from 1995 to 2002,
and was a long-time employee of the St. Boniface and Louis Riel School
Christian Michalik is the Acting Superintendent of LRSD. "The re-elected Trustees bring a wealth of experience and relationships with the community to the table. Our newly elected Trustees bring new perspectives to the table. I believe that mix of continuity and fresh ideas will invigorate and broaden the perspective of the Board as they restart the hard work of listening to the community and bringing those aspirations for public education to life," he says.
A special thank you to outgoing Trustee Hugh Coburn (Ward 4) for his many years of service. Coburn has been a re-elected trustee for over 30 years, first with the St. Boniface School Division, and later with the Louis Riel School Division. He has served as Chair of the LRSD School Board and Chair of the RIEL-EVATE School Community Foundation.
A special thank you as well to Trustee Dave Richardson (Ward 3). Richardson did not seek re-election. The retiring Trustee has served as a school board member since 1992. We thank him for his many contributions to both the St. Vital and Louis Riel School Boards.
