On Wednesday, June 3, we will celebrate the annual Clear Air Day during Canadian Environment Week that recognizes the positive impact that good air quality has on our health, environment and economy.
Air pollution is one of the most significant environmental challenges affecting public health, and one of the most avoidable causes of death and disease. Clean Air Day provides the opportunity to think about the steps that can be taken to improve the quality of our air and protect the environment.
This year, the Green Action Centre has replaced its traditional large community celebration with at-home activities and resources that encourage kids to spend time outdoors, celebrate active transportation, and learn how air quality affects our health and the health of the environment.
Take the Clean Air Day pledge today and register to receive an activity kit with educational videos, science experiments, scavenger hunts and more.
