The students in the Baking and Pastry program collaborated with students from the Applied Business Management and New Media Design programs to participate in Baker Den. The students in the Baking and Pastry program were to design a business or product related to the baking and pastry industry. The teams met with students from Applied Business who prepared business plans and projected income. The New Media students were tasked with designing logos for their new businesses.
The students then presented their ideas to the "Dragons", special guests from industry and the community who gave feedback and insight that gave the students a business perspective. The "Dragons" included Gill Tyrell - Oppotunties for Employment, Andy Ingenfeld - The Crusty Bun, Robert Elms - North Forge, and Adriano Magnifico - Louis Riel School Division.
