Congratulations to Library Assistant Brita Enns-Kutcy from Frontenac School! Brita has recently been recognized with the 2018 Rising Star Award by the Manitoba Association of Library Technicians. This award is presented annually to a Library Technician who shows exceptional promise of leadership; has made a contribution to their library or the profession; and has graduated from an accredited library program.
Brita is a 2017 graduate of the Red River College Library and Information Technology Diploma Program. She has brought an energy to the newly renovated Library Learning Commons at Frontenac by connecting with students, creating engaging displays, and fostering a welcoming environment. She has also volunteered her time to co-coach our Grade 7/8 students to a Divisional Basketball Championship; to work with students on learning how to care for our Library Learning Commons; and to co-facilitate Frontenac's Manitoba Young Readers' Choice Awards (MYRCA) Club.
Brita is a well-deserved recipient of this award and we are proud to have her working at Frontenac School. We look forward to her continued contributions, both in the Library Learning Commons and around the school. Congratulations, Brita!
