Library Programming

École George-McDowell’s library is an active centre for the school community. The role of the school library at École George-McDowell is to support teaching and learning goals that ensure students develop as information literate learners. Students are supported in pursuit of all forms of literacy and learning through the use of various literature and informational materials. Learning experiences within the library are designed around active learning environments and access to a variety of information sources. All school staff, including the teacher-librarian and library assistant work together as educational partners to support best practices within the learning environment and to support collaborative inquiry-based teaching and learning.

Library Staff

George McDowell’s library is staffed by a half-time Teacher-Librarian and a full-time Library Assistant.
