Marion School Family Centre is a family resource centre for parents, grandparents and caregivers with their children from birth to 6 years of age. Located in St. Boniface in Marion School, 619 DesMeurons St., the centre provides opportunities for both children and their parents and caregivers to play, learn and grow together.

“Stay & Play” drop-in programs are open several mornings and afternoons each week. As well, a “Baby Play” drop-in is held one afternoon a week. Special parent-child learning programs and parent programs are also scheduled regularly.

Activities and programs at the Marion School Family Centre are presented so that children and parents, grandparents and caregivers have the opportunity to interact with each other, as well as with other children and adults. Through play, children have fun learning skills that will assist them in their eventual school entry, while adults can pick up helpful information regarding child development and positive parenting. Book and toy lending libraries, along with community resource information, are also available.

Funding for Marion School Family Centre is provided by Healthy Child Manitoba and the Louis Riel School Division, as well as other community organizations. All programs are free of charge and open to all families. For specific program times and scheduling, or for further information, please call Marion School Family Centre at 204-237-5176, or email michelle.oakes@lrsd.net
