The Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) and the Louis Riel Teachers' Association (LRTA) are proud to jointly support the Manitoba Teachers' Society Professional Development Day (MTS PD Day) taking place on Friday, October 23, 2026.

MTS PD Day is organized by professional teachers, for professional teachers. In any profession, ongoing learning is a shared responsibility. This day gives teachers across Manitoba the space to pursue professional development that speaks directly to their own practice, their curiosity, and ultimately, their students & communities. That kind of professional agency is something we believe in deeply, and it is our shared responsibility as a division and as an association to support it fully.

We want to recognize the many LRSD teachers who will be leading sessions on October 23. Sharing your expertise with colleagues from across the province is a generous act, and it speaks to the kind of professional community we are proud to be part of in LRSD. We also extend our sincere appreciation to everyone involved in the planning and facilitation of this year's event; it takes considerable effort, and it does not go unnoticed.

To all LRSD teachers: engage fully in this day, lean into what draws you, connect with colleagues, and we hope you will return to your classrooms and schools on Monday with something new.

Information about the 2026 MTS PD Day and how to register can be found at 2026 MTS PD Day Online Registration.
