On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Tymchuk as Assistant Director of Clinical Services, effective Aug. 1, 2026. The Board of Trustees confirmed her appointment at the March 17, 2026, Regular Board Meeting.

Lisa began her career in 2006 at the Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC) as an Occupational Therapist supporting children and later expanded her clinical practice through additional work at Grace General Hospital. She joined the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) as an Occupational Therapist Clinician in 2015, and in 2021, she was appointed Supervisor of Development Supports, where she continued to demonstrate a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to leadership.

Throughout her time in LRSD, Lisa has influenced key shifts in practice, including moving away from segregated programming and strengthening school based supports for students with complex needs. This has contributed to more consistent, evidence informed practices across the division. She also advanced systemwide initiatives in accessibility, student supports, and assistive technology. She played a key role in implementing the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) model, and contributed valuable clinical perspectives to divisional literacy work. Known for her strong values and professional judgement, Lisa has supported teams through complex decision-making while maintaining a clear focus on student wellbeing and inclusive practice.

In her new role as Assistant Director Clinical Services, Lisa will continue to guide and support the work of the Clinical Services team in advancing inclusive, responsive, and student‑centred services. She will collaborate closely with divisional leaders, school teams, and community partners to promote student success and wellbeing across LRSD.

We look forward to her continued contributions and are pleased to welcome her to this new role.
