Positive Cases of COVID-19 in LRSD

The Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) works closely with Manitoba Public Health to assist in contact tracing and provide timely notification about specific COVID-19 exposures related to our schools.

If an individual notifies LRSD that they are COVID-19 positive or are awaiting test results and there is a concern that the individual was in the school while infectious, the division contacts public health to collaborate and expedite the process of contact tracing and community notification.

To help our LRSD community understand where positive cases in the division have been identified and how many there are, we have created the following list that identifies the specific number of COVID-19 cases related to our schools that public health has investigated and confirmed.

The list also includes how many staff are assigned to each building and how many students are in the school so our community can contrast the specific number of COVID-19 cases in relation to school (student and staff) population.

This page will be updated as specific COVID-19 cases in relation to our schools are confirmed by public health.

There have been some instances when public health has notified the division of an individual in a school community who has tested positive for COVID-19 and no community notification was required. This was because the individual was not in the school during the infectious period. Any of these cases are not reflected in the total number of confirmed cases column.

When an individual who has been identified by public health as a confirmed positive COVID-19 case has been in more than one school, the positive case will be attributed to the individual's home school. This ensures the accuracy of our total number of confirmed cases.

The total confirmed cases will be updated weekdays at the end of each business day. The total number of staff and students will be updated quarterly.*

RT @UN: #COVID19 recovery plans must address long-standing gender inequalities to build a fairer & more resilient world. Achieving gender equality will also help tackle the climate crisis, boost economic growth & achieve the #GlobalGoals. https://t.co/8P3J5BFeOW https://t.co/aNZQxAvllk
