A message from our music teacher

Dear parents-guardians,

Our music classroom is a place where magic finds a home. There is always great joy in listening to our students integrating their knowledge and experiences (each in their own, unique way) when sharing something they know, being inquisitive or just sharing what they love the most about making music. Every year is so exciting to study and discover together many different important concepts found in sound, as we take the journey of composing lyrics for a song we are performing, working on a poem with new French words, or creating music to accompany a story from a book.

When working on a project it is important to hear everyone’s voice, as any contribution made with care and thought, and coming from the heart, is always welcomed, and encouraged.

Being around our many beautiful instruments and in our wonderful music room, provides a fantastic and joyful time where creativity is present. There is always something to learn or review when it comes to singing, playing safely, thinking about our quality of sound, discovering new pieces, and striving to achieve our best possible effort in collective music making.

We continue to remember how our French vocabulary is of the utmost importance, as we all agreed to come together and grow, using such a beautiful language.

I am always in awe of our students and commend them for the way in which they are willing to imagine, feel, listen, share, learn, perform, and grow, all of it with and through music. It makes my heart sing to know that in the center of all this learning, our students are wonderful ambassadors willing to grow while sharing the joys of music.

With love,

Mme Judith
