In the Tigers’ Den

LRSD’s 2023 Tigers’ Den Pitch Competition concluded with three championship teams who created apps that empowered people to take charge of their health and learning.

The Tigers’ Den event completed its third consecutive year as a virtual pitch competition.

All 30 teams who participated submitted a two-minute video pitching a problem and a solution for a target market audience.

Nine teams moved to the final round. Twenty-four community business partners used a rubric that assessed the relevance and description of the problem, insight into the target customer, the creativity of the presentation, and a bonus investment total.

First place went The Pantry App, which helps users use available or little-used food in the fridge or pantry to create tasty meals and avoid throwing out unused or expired food.
