Each year, the Louis Riel School Division hosts an international summer school at Glenlawn Collegiate, 770 St Mary's Road. 

The purpose of the summer school is:

• to add to student’s educational experience while they are in Canada,
• to take learning beyond the classroom,
• to allow students to explore Canadian culture in and around Winnipeg,
• to provide an environment in which students can practice using English,
• to meet and work with Canadian students and staff.
