High School Year and Semester Programs

 Academics (5 & 10 Month Options)

  • Schools follow the Manitoba provincial curriculum. 
  • Teachers are professionally certified.
  • Students enroll ages 14 to 19.
  • Students may earn course credits towards a Manitoba high school diploma.
  • The Manitoba high school diploma is recognized worldwide. Many students graduate then pursue post-secondary education in Canada or abroad. 


  • The Canadian school year runs from September to June. 
    • First semester – September to January 
    • Second semester – February to June

More Than Academics

  • In addition to regular academics, LRSD Go Global also offers a wide variety of cultural activities and events, for example:
    • Multicultural events
    • Arts, music and theatre events
    • Outdoor activities 
    • Canadian cultural events 
    • Sports events 
    • City tours

Student Experience 

  • Upon arrival, students are greeted at the airport by their homestays and an LRSD Go Global team member if applicable
  • Students participate in school intakes and orientation
  • LRSD Go Global schedules weekly school check-ins, and additional support as needed, are provided throughout the program 
  • Students may join extra‑curricular activities both in school (no charge) and out of school (charges may apply)
