Guitar 6-8

Welcome to the Island Lakes Guitar Program 

My name is Mr. Hrabluk and I will be teaching the program for grades 6-8. In guitar, we focus on note reading, playing two or three part arrangements as a group, and learning to play chords on the instrument. Guitars can be taken home in soft shell cases over weekends during the year on a student rotation basis, provided that they are cared for when away from the school. It is advised that parents look into purchasing a guitar for their child within the first year of the program. Please contact Mr. Hrabluk if you need further information about that purchase as ILCS in conjunction with St. John's Music has set up a great deal on a Yamaha C-40 nylon string guitar.
