This I Love to Read Month, we are asking the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) community to come together to support students in Berens River following the devastating loss of their school to fire.
Access to books in foundational to learning, belonging, and wellbeing. As students navigate this difficult time — including temporary arrangements that require some to travel long distances to attend school — we want to help ensure that families continue to have stories, resources, and materials that inspire and support them.
We are collecting:
- New or gently used children’s books
- Middles years and young adult novels
- Indigenous literature
- Activity books
- Graphic novels
Books can be dropped off at any LRSD school library from February 11 to February 18.
By sharing the gift of reading, we are extending care, connection, and solidarity to a neighbouring community. Thank you for helping us fill shelves and hearts with stories.
