The below scholarships are award through Glenlawn Collegiate's scholarship committee. To apply for one or more of these please click this link to be considered.

Award - Riel –Evate Endowment Fund Bursary  
Category - Generosity
Paid To - Institution
Amount - $1500
Criteria - Presented to a graduating student in support of their post-secondary goals.  It recognizes hard work, volunteerism, and community spirit.  Criteria will include the above, with the bursary awarded to a student for whom financial hardship may pose a barrier to post-secondary education, either academic or vocational.


Award Partners in Education Red River College Scholarship  
Category - Mastery - Top mark attending RRC
Paid To - Institution
Amount - $1500
Criteria - Awarded student must be registered and be enrolled in a full-time diploma or certificate program at Red River College.


Award Louis Riel School Division Legacy Scholarship     
Category - Mastery - Awarded with Govern General award - Top academic
Paid To - Individual
Amount - $1500

Criteria - Scholarship will be distributed to the Governor General recipient.


Award - G.E. (Ted) and Edna Poulter Award
Category - Independence - has to be a member of St. John's College
Paid To - Institution
Amount - $2000
Criteria - Must be registered at St. John’s College and enrolled at U of M.  Presented to a graduating student who demonstrates leadership in student affairs, sports, music or other school-related activities.


Award - Harvey Pearce Award
Category - Mastery and Generosity - Has to have taken science and participate in track and field
Paid To - Individual
Amount - $1200
Criteria - Recipient must excel at science; school sports including track & field and contributes to the community. 


Award - Rotary Club of St. Boniface/St. Vital Scholarship. “Interact Club Scholarship” 
Category - Generosity - Part of Interact Club
Paid To - Individual - needs to provide copy of post-secondary acceptance
Amount - $1000
Criteria - Awarded to a student that is a member of the Interact Club or was a member of the Interact Club that is graduating. Entering any post-secondary studies.

Criteria - The students must be in the top 5% of the graduating classes' overall GPA.  


Award - Marinus and Dena Van Hull Scholarship
Category - Mastery - needs to be a long term LRSD student - Agriculture or Business
Paid To - Institution from Wpg Foundation
Amount - $1500
Criteria - A Graduate that is continuing their studies (training) at the post-secondary level; maintained good academic standing (80% average and above); demonstrated some community service; to be given to a student who has grown-up in or completed the majority of their schooling in the St. Vital area: preference for a student who has shown an interest in and aptitude for business or agriculture studies.

Criteria - The award is to be given to a graduating student who has the highest mark in Essentials math 40S.

Category - Mastery - Highest mark in French

Criteria - Scholarships will be distributed to the students achieving the highest grade in French 40S.


Award - St. Vital /St. Boniface/Norwood Retired Teachers and Support Staff Association Bursary (Riel Chapter)  
Category - Generosity and Mastery
Paid To - Individual - must be continuing their education at the post-secondary level in Education. 
Amount - $500
Criteria - The award will be issued annually to a graduating student who throughout their high school years has given of their time to their school and community while achieving individual academic success. 


Award - Seine River MLA Scholarship
Category - Generosity - must live in Siene River catchment and identify as female and Indigenous.
Paid To - Individual
Amount - $500
Criteria - Awarded to a student with good academic standing, leadership, and commitment to community.


Award - Riverside Lionelles Scholarship
Category - Mastery

Amount - $500
Criteria - High academic achievement and financial need. High personal achievement, scholarship, citizenship.


Award - Patricia and Norman Stanger Award for Proficiency in Grade 12 English
Category - Mastery - highest mark in ELA (Comprehensive)
Paid To - Individual
Amount - $500
Criteria - The award is to be given to a graduating student who is distinguished by his or her love of literature and language.  This student will have demonstrated exceptional skill in and passion for all areas of English Language Arts.  


Award - Mooney Family Bursary Fund
Category - Independence
Paid To - Individual - must be continuing post-secondary studies in faculty of Arts, Fine Arts or Sciences.
Amount - $500
Criteria - Shows financial need and demonstrates capacity and willingness to actively improve their studies to attain career objectives and positively contribute to society.


Award - Louis Riel Teachers’ Association Scholarship
Category - Independence
Paid To - Individual - must be continuing their education at the post-secondary level in Education. 
Amount - $500
Criteria - Awarded to a graduating student who achieves a minimum average of 75%, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and love of learning along with the intention to pursue post-secondary studies in the field of Education.


Award - Gail Atkins Memorial Scholarship 
Category - Generosity
Paid To - Individual 
Amount - $500
Criteria - Student must show respectful and equitable treatment and interaction with staff and fellow students; must give of their time and effort to school and community involvement; must have a quiet determination but give a sold, responsible effort in their learning. Award will be accessible to students who are socially or financially disadvantaged to allow them to access further education or training in a chosen career or employment path.

Category - Generosity through Fine Arts (Art and Music)

Criteria - Awarded to a graduate who has contributed to the Fine Arts program at Glenlawn Collegiate. Must be attending post-secondary.

Criteria - The award is to be given to a graduating student who has the second highest mark in Essentials math 40S.

Award - Dan Vandal Youth Initiative Award

Amount - $250
Criteria - Has demonstrated Leadership in one of the following areas: Youth engagement in government processes (voting, legislation, etc.), mentorship, and environment. Has made significant contributions to their school and /or community, especially in addressing an unmet or underserved need. Has motivated others to gather around a common goal.  Has achieved the above accomplishments on a volunteer basis.

Criteria - Awarded to a member of the graduating class who resides in St. Vital and plans to enroll as a full-time student in any college at the University of Manitoba. Demonstrates qualities of civic mindedness. Must exemplify leadership, respect for community and fellow students, commitment to academic achievement and sportsmanlike conduct in athletic endeavors.
