Do you want to be a Roots of Empathy Family? 

The Louis Riel School Division is looking for families with babies who will be between two and four months old in October and are interested in participating in Roots of Empathy. The program helps students develop empathy, respect, and caring relationships with others.

Throughout the school year, parent(s) and their baby visit a classroom nine times alongside a certified Roots of Empathy instructor. Gathered around the program’s signature “Green Blanket,” the parent(s) share their baby’s growth and development with the students. Through these volunteer visits, students gain a deeper understanding of their own emotions, temperament, and relationships, while learning valuable lessons about caring for and respecting others.
