I am pleased to announce the appointment of Derrick Sheldon as Director of Staff Services. The Board of Trustees confirmed his position at the Dec. 2, 2025, Regular Board Meeting.
Derrick joined the Board Office team as a Human Resource Coordinator in 2011. In 2019, he stepped into a leadership role as the Manger of Human Resources, and in 2022 he was appointed Assistant Director of Staff Services.
Working closely with senior leadership, school administrators, and the Staff Services team, Derrick will support recruitment and labour relations while providing leadership in onboarding, and staff development. He will also offer guidance to managers, administrators, and employee groups on matters related to collective agreements and employment legislation.
